Privacy Policy

BedLedger is built by Ankit Mahajan, a solo software engineer in India. For any privacy questions, or to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, write to support@bedledger.com.

What we collect and why

Tenant and payment records. You enter tenant names, unit references, rent amounts, deposits and payment details (amount, date and method such as cash, UPI or bank). This is used to maintain the rent register and show you who has paid and who has not.

Account and contact information. When you sign up, we store your email address and the details you provide about your properties. This is used to operate your account and to contact you about it when needed.

Signing in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, and nothing else: we do not ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data. We use the name and email to set up and identify your account. You can remove BedLedger's access at any time from your Google Account settings.

App launch list. If you ask to be told when the BedLedger mobile app launches, we store the email address you give us for that one purpose, and delete it after the launch email is sent. Write to us to be removed sooner.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

Storage and security

The service runs on servers in Mumbai, India, and the database is hosted by Supabase in the Mumbai region, so your records stay in India. This website is served through Cloudflare's network. Access to your account is gated by your login. We rely on the security controls provided by these hosted platforms and do not make additional claims or certifications about security.

Retention and deletion

We keep your records for as long as your account is active so that you can maintain an accurate history. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by writing to support@bedledger.com. Deletion requests are handled as soon as practicable.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the tenant and payment information you enter, and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record the tenant information you add, and for handling that information in line with any obligations that apply to you.
